The VIII Portuguese Spine Society Annual Congress took place in Porto during the last week (31 October – 2 November), promoting a great discussion between national and international participants about the most recent approaches regarding Spine Surgery.
With over one hundred participants, the event aimed to discuss the most current topics related to medical and surgical procedures associated with pathologies and dysfunctions of the spine, such as: Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Spinal Osteotomy for Sagittal Balance Correction, Sacroiliac Pathology, Vertebral Metastatic Disease, among others.
Fostering a great sharing of experience, aiming to develop the scientific development and clinical discussion, the faculty was composed by recognized spine surgeons, national and international; such as Dr. Markus Donat from Munich, sponsored by Neurowave and our partner and manufacturer Si-Bone, who addressed surgical treatment in sacroiliac pathologies.
As honorary members, we were present to support this event, witnessing an excellent syllabus, and having the opportunity to attend some communications that contributed to keep us abreast of this constant evolution that is medicine.
